Pick of Twitter 04/04/2015

Got a whole fortnight’s worth of stuff to fit into this post as Easter holidays mean I’ve had a little break from frequent Twitter checking! Here are my picks from the last two weeks:

Visual representations (@mrbuckton4maths)
A couple of really really nice visual representations for relative frequency and fraction multiplication. I love how the relative frequency one shows clear links to proportional reasoning.

Numeracy across the Curriculum (@dandesignthink)
A beautiful poster picking out key mathematical ideas in art and design. There appear to be more here but I can’t find a link to buy them yet!

A Very Good Maths Explanation (@hegartymaths)
A world of yes. I think this needs to be in a teacher training manual somewhere.

Graphing stories (@ictmagic)
Great resource for real-life graphs; link via Pinterest and there is a huge collection to pick from!

GCSE One Stop Shop (@MathedUp)
If you use the Kesh takeaways, this site is a must-visit; links to the topic booklets, a video link via YouTube, answers and diagnostic quizzes.

My Views on Mastery (@Just_Maths)
Another interesting opinion piece about the current maths Mastery shenanigans.
