A lovely little activity with plenty of depth. Recording each day gives the sequence of triangular numbers (i.e. Day 1 = 1, Day 2 = 3, Day 3 = 6), and the total number of gifts, pleasingly, is 364 – one for each day of the year, apart from Christmas Day.
As for the challenge, it’s another good lesson in organising working in a clear and systematic manner, as it’s very easy to get mixed up!
